It's a fling thing!

Youth nowadays knows about this one for sure.
Especially those who go to the clubs and do dirty stuffs. *wink

I went to the salon awhile ago. And while waiting, I came across to read one of the magazines in the racks. I forgot who the author is, but this article is about having a fling, fuck buddies, or a kissing friend or whatever you want to call it. It says there that "A fling is like a chocolate, you like it but you don't need it." I agreed and find it interesting so I read the whole article.

Here are some "NEVER-to-do if you happened to have a fling"
In my case, it is a him.

Never ask question.
You are not supposed to know him better. He is what he gives, shows and tells you.
That's it. Period.

Never demand anything.
You take only the cards he lays on the table, which to be honest, aren't a lot. Don't expect that you'll get the whole deck. You don't own it, in the first place.

Never check up on him.
You are not the girlfriend who knows her guy's daily itinerary, from the time he takes his coffee down to the minute he begins snoring. He has his own schedule and he expects to have your own-without having to compare notes.

Never get to know him, his family, or his friends.
He wants this clear: you are not part of his world. The only world you have with him is within the confines of his car, his room and his bedsheets.

Never make him part of your life too.
Live your life like he doesn't even exist. Most likely he's doing the same. It's there when it's there. And you'll never know when it will strike or come back.

Never give your all.
You only give as much as he does; and if you can help it, even less.

Never need him.
Need alcohol more for it just cause you a day or less to suffer.
Needing him is like having a hangover 24/7. Consider him a bonus treat. Always remember why you're with him: Have fun. Maybe feel good about yourself. He's an escape, not an essential.

Never expect anything.
Not even something lame, like a text reply. Male shares another nugget of wisdom, "Don't expect a transition to a real relationship. It is what it is."

And lastly,
Never say "I love You".
There's a reason why he's not saying those words, it is because he doesn't love you.
This is the ultimate risk you take when going for a fling, you can fall in love. And how will the relationship ever work in favor if it has been set on one key rule since day one: "Never fall in love." That's why fling is so irresistable. They challenge what you know and feel to be in your limits.

But for me, there's also a good advantage and good thing in having a fling. It let us know the real scenario, that in life. Everyone is really in need to have fun. It may not sounds good for others, but nowadays, it is true.
It also brings us the reality that real relationship does not come just in a snap.
We need to build it level by level in the right person, in the right time and in the right way.
